A note about the process: Because this work is made using a flatbed scanner as a camera, people sometimes refer to it as scanner photography and so on (scanography, scannography, scannographie, scan-art, scanograms, scans (or flower-scans), scanning). I still call it photography, because a photograph is an image made with light, and today there are many alternative processes for making photographs, including various camera-less methods.
A note about the name: people often misspell my name or assume it's the same as my husband's. If you're looking for the artist "Doris Mitch" or "Doris Barden," you've come to the right place.
